Abstract: The optimal motions of cutting tool in milling processes are very important for short time cutting and quality of finished surfaces. For needs of optimal machining concept implementation in digital controlled manufacturing machines it is of great importance the accurate design concept, the strategy of tool motion done by the manufacturing engineer. On the ground of the possibility of realisation of a great number different types surfaces with different manufacturing devices and after exploitation considering different technological parameters it is laborious to apply the optimal and efficient concept of tool motion. In this paper it the results in the frame of the scientific project achieved at Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies in the field of cutting strategy realisation are presented.

Key words: NC machines, CNC milling machines, cutting strategy.
