THE STUDY STATE OF STRESS AND STRAINS BETWEEN DRILL PIECE AND CHIP

Abstract: It is determined the stress and strains state to the nose of the drill during the cutting process, using an analytical calculus model and MatchCAD software. First, it is considered the case of a linear contact between drill and work piece. Second, it is analyzed the stress state to the cylindrical contact between drill with rounded nose and work piece.
